TMA Lunch & Learn Equity Conversation Series

Please make plans to join us Wednesday, September 9, 2026, 12:00-1:00 pm (EST) via Zoom for the first TMA Lunch & Learn Equity Conversation Series of the academic year. Our topic will be Voter Education and Engagement on Campus, co-facilitated by Dr. Sarah Star, Associate Professor of Humanities at Carroll Community College and Dr. Shawntay Stocks, TMA Chief of Staff and Associate Director. This Series is part of TMA's Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion program.

The November election is quickly approaching, and the role of higher education in preparing informed, engaged citizens has never been more important. How is your campus encouraging students to exercise their civic agency, engage in democracy, and navigate political conversations across differences?

Join Community-Engaged Professionals from across the Mid-Atlantic in this conversation to share innovative programs, voter engagement efforts, dialogue initiatives, and lessons learned. Let's learn from one another as we work to guide students on their journey to the ballot this November.

Please contact TMA Dr. Shawntay Stocks TMA Chief of Staff and Associate Director at stocks@transformmidatlantic.org if you have any questions.

This webinar will occur synchronously via Zoom and include audio and visual materials. TMA will make a reasonable effort to ensure that all individuals can participate fully in the event. Please contact TMA Associate Director, Dr. Shawntay Stocks to share any accessibility or accommodations you will require.
